Four Seasons Nurseries

The story of Four Seasons Nurseries in Glasgow began in 1995 with the opening of our Cadogan Street site. Inez Murray took over the day to day running of the nursery in 1997 and in 2002 Inez and her husband George purchased the nursery. Since then Four Seasons Nurseries has gone from strength to strength serving numerous families. Recently this family business increased with the purchase of Four Seasons Nurseries at Spectrum in November 2007 and the opening of our first purpose built site Four Seasons Nurseries at Skypark in February 2009. It is the aim of Four Seasons Nurseries to offer the highest standard of childcare in the heart of Glasgow. We consistently reach this aim by employing staff of the highest caliber who undergo a thorough recruitment process. We also staff above national care standards and have an excellent staff retention rate. We have a dedicated planning and development manager who serves all our sites ensuring our planning is in line with local and national guidelines. Through individual observation, we plan for each child’s development using current curriculum documentation. We follow Pre-Birth to Three, supporting our youngest children and we use Child at the Centre and the Scottish guidelines on Curriculum for Excellence for the ante preschool and preschool children. We provide a stimulating environment and tailored activities for each child’s interests and needs in their journey from birth to transition into school. Each of our sites has its own secure outdoor area. We have secure CCTV door entry systems and cooks who provide fresh home cooked lunches and a nutritious snack in line with our Healthy Living Policy. Each of our city centre locations make us ideal for today’s families. We are close to all major road links, railway stations and local bus routes. At Four Seasons Nurseries we recognise the importance of building a long trusting relationship with each of our children and their families, starting with a flexible settling in policy which caters for all circumstances. We aim to involve parents in all aspects of our nurseries from trips to meal ideas. In all our sites we display all relevant policies and procedures around the rooms. Four Seasons Nurseries operate on an ‘all inclusive’ basis, included in your fees are nappies, wipes, creams, formula, lunches, snacks and all drinks. As the children progress through they are introduced to additional activities including French and Chime. Each of our nurseries are members of the NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association). Unfortunately, we lost the lease of our Cadogan Street site in November 2011. However we managed to successfully relocate all our children and staff to Spectrum and Skypark.
